This is stated in a statement on Twitter.

It reminded that the owner of the PMC, Yevhen Prygozhyn, said on May 25 that the withdrawal of mercenaries from Bakhmut had begun. The positions in the city will allegedly be handed over to the Russian Defense Ministry by June 1, 2023. In addition, he announced the rotation of Wagner's men around Bakhmut.

According to British intelligence, on May 24, the forces of the so-called "DPR" began to enter the city, allegedly to conduct operations to clear Bakhmut.

"In recent weeks, elements of Russia's 31st Airborne Brigade (Airborne Forces) have likely moved from the Svatovo-Kremenna area to strengthen the flanks of Bakhmut," the report says.

In addition, as of May 16, the territories on the flanks of Bakhmut with an area of 20 square kilometers were occupied by the Ukrainian defense forces. The British Ministry of Defense intelligence believes that the rotation of Wagner's forces will continue in controlled stages to prevent a collapse around Bakhmut.

"Despite Prigozhin's long-standing feud with the Russian Ministry of Defense, Wagner's forces are likely to be used for further offensive operations in Donbas after the forces are reinstated," the agency concluded.
