On the night of July 23, Russia launched eight Shahed-type attack UAVs and an X-69 guided missile against Ukraine. In Sumy region, critical infrastructure was hit.
RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
During the attack, the Russians launched:
Units of mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and electronic warfare units of the Air Force were involved in repelling the attack.
“Air defense shot down 7 enemy Shahed attack UAVs. As a result of active counteraction, the enemy X-69 guided missile did not reach its target,” the Air Force wrote.
Meanwhile, the Sumy Regional Military Administration (OVA) reports a strike on critical infrastructure facilities of the Shostka community. Currently, the necessary services are eliminating the consequences of the attack and conducting emergency repair work.
