Spain has sent a new batch of military aid to Ukraine, including ten refurbished Leopard 2A4 tanks.
According to Yevropeiska Pravda, this was reported by the Spanish Ministry of Defense.
The Spanish military aid package includes 10 Leopard 2A4 tanks, various excavators, and anti-tank missiles.
The tanks, which will be delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, have undergone in-depth repair and maintenance at the Santa Barbara Sistemas plant in Seville and have been tested to ensure their technical serviceability.
The vessel has been on the road since the end of last week. On Saturday, it left Spain and is expected to arrive in Poland before next weekend, from where it will be transported to Ukraine.
"Appropriate security measures are being taken at all stages of this important movement," the Spanish Defense Ministry added.
With this batch, the total number of tanks that Spain has transferred to Ukraine has reached 20. The next batch is scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2024.
