NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the Alliance has “no doubt” that the DPRK provides "significant military support" to Russia.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Kyodo News.
Answering a question about North Korea's role in the war in Ukraine, Stoltenberg said that there is “no doubt” that the DPRK provides "significant military support" to Russia.
While refusing to disclose confidential intelligence, he said it was "very clear" that the 32 Allies are "deeply concerned" about the possibility of Russia supporting North Korea's missile and nuclear programs in exchange for munitions and other weapons from Pyongyang.
Quoting the oft-used phrase of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida that "what happens in Ukraine today may happen in Asia tomorrow," he said: "It is in the interest of all of us to prevent Putin from winning in Ukraine."
Stoltenberg emphasized that the partnership with Japan has become even more important, especially since this relationship has been "laid bare" by the war in Ukraine, "where China, North Korea, and Iran are enabling Russia's brutal war of aggression."
