Jun 1, 2023

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg reacted to the drone attacks in Russia. He did not confirm the involvement of the Ukrainian military, but emphasized that Ukraine has the right to defend itself.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Stoltenberg's statement before the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Oslo.

"Now we have exactly the same position as at the beginning of the war, namely that Ukraine has the right to defend itself," he said.

The NATO Secretary General emphasized that the war unleashed by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is a clear violation of international law. Ukraine, in turn, is defending itself, this is a right enshrined in the UN Charter.

"There is no doubt what kind of military aggression President Putin and Moscow are carrying out against peaceful Ukrainians," Stoltenberg said.
