The Swiss Prosecutor General's Office is investigating a case against a Russian agent and other individuals suspected of violating several laws. Law enforcement officers have issued an arrest warrant.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Swiss Info.
The Prosecutor General's Office appealed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to cancel the diplomatic immunity of one of the three defendants.
This immunity expired when the person finally left the country. An arrest warrant was issued for this person, which could be applied if he re-entered Switzerland.
Prior to this decision, the Office of the Attorney General, together with the Federal Police Office and the police, had already conducted searches in several cantons.
In general, the suspects are accused of violating the War Materials Act, the Embargo Act, and the Goods Control Act.
According to the newspaper, the Federal Intelligence Service had previously been monitoring a Russian representative in Bern. The accredited diplomat is said to have been a spy for the purpose of purchasing weapons.
