The Russian command is trying to deplete Ukrainian air defense by launching kamikaze drones. This was reported by the spokesman for the Air Force Command, Yuriy Ihnat, in an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda.
"We can't get this drone at night with the means of air defense of the Land Forces or mobile fire groups. Whatever searchlights are there... Why do they launch them at night? To deplete the air defense. To make us spend anti-aircraft missiles on them. So that they can see where our systems are located and make adjustments when they are attacked by missiles from ships or airplanes," Ihnat said.
He emphasized that it is more difficult to shoot down a missile, but a drone is also difficult to detect, and various means must be used to rationally shoot it down. At the same time, the spokesman noted that Iranian drones are difficult to shoot down.
