On Tuesday, November 21, President of the European Council Charles Michel arrived in Kyiv, along with Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
This was reported with reference to his X (Twitter) account.
"Good to be back in Kyiv – among friends," he wrote.
As a reminder, Politico wrote four days ago that the President of the European Council Charles Michel would arrive in Kyiv on November 21. Sources of the publication stated that Michel would visit Ukraine on the day of remembrance of the Maidan protests that began on November 21, 2013.
According to the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, her visit with Michel did not coincide by chance - the agenda includes discussions on the next steps for Moldova and Ukraine's accession to the EU.
As a reminder, these visits are taking place on the eve of the European Council summit to be held in December. During the summit, EU leaders will discuss the European Commission's recommendation to start formal negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU.
