The United States is providing Ukraine with another military aid package worth up to $200 million.
This was announced at a briefing on Monday, July 29, by John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator for the White House National Security Council, Voice of America reports.
According to Kirby, the aid package includes air defense equipment, HIMARS artillery ammunition, mortar shells, and Javelin anti-tank missiles.
This package is allocated under the mechanism of the US President's authority to reduce, i.e. transfer weapons directly from the US Army's warehouses.
In addition, the Pentagon will transfer air defense, long-range strike capabilities, and anti-tank weapons to Ukraine through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (ordering weapons from US manufacturers).
