US presidential candidate Donald Trump said he could stop any war with a phone call.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Voice of America broadcast.
It should be noted that in his final speech at the Republican Party convention, Trump touched upon the war in Ukraine and other conflicts that have arisen recently.
According to him, thanks to his victory in the November elections, “the years of war, chaos, and weakness will be over.” Trump said that there have been no wars under his watch, except for ISIS, and he will stop all wars with a phone call.
“I will stop these wars with just a phone call. I can stop any war with a phone call,” Trump said.
During his speech, he also said that under George W. Bush, Russia invaded Georgia, under Barack Obama, Russia took Crimea, and under the current US administration, Russia wants to take all of Ukraine. Trump added that when he was in the White House, Russia took nothing. Both Russia and China were afraid of him.
“I will end every international crisis that the current administration has created, including the terrible war between Russia and Ukraine,” Trump said during his speech.
At the same time, CNN notes that the former US president falsely claims that “the world was a peaceful place” during his administration. The publication writes that when Trump left office in early 2021, there were dozens of unresolved wars and armed conflicts. In particular:
