According to him, the Netherlands and Denmark are currently the leaders in developing training for Ukrainians on F-16s.

"We have received a request from Denmark to support F-16 training, which was expected. It is being considered now," he said.

It is worth noting that earlier the U.S. State Department said that it may take several months to transfer F-16s to Ukraine.

About a month ago, the allied countries intensified discussions on the transfer of F-16s and other fighters of this class to Ukraine. Denmark and the Netherlands have already voiced their readiness to be leaders in this matter.

The partners point out that the transfer of fighters will be possible only after pilots have been trained. At the same time, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the training has already begun.
