On Wednesday, Ministers of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and Lithuania Ihor Klymenko and Agne Bilotaite signed an agreement on mutual recognition and exchange of national driving licenses.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The agreement stipulates that Ukrainian citizens who have moved to Lithuania will be able to exchange their national driver's license for a Lithuanian one without passing exams.

And Lithuanian citizens permanently residing in Ukraine who have a Lithuanian driver's license will be able to exchange it for a Ukrainian one without additional exams.

For such an exchange, a document proving permanent residence in the country, the original driver's license, and a valid medical certificate must be submitted.

"The agreement aims to settle the issue of mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses of Ukrainian and Lithuanian citizens moving to the other party's country for permanent residence under a simplified procedure," Klymenko said.
