Ukrainian air defense shoots down 36 Russian missiles today

Today, the air defense troops did a good job. Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, reported on the results of their work.

According to him, three Kalibr cruise missiles and 33 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles were shot down.

During the day, three Kalibrs out of three launched were shot down.

Around 17:00, the enemy attacked again - from the Caspian Sea area with X-101/X-555 air-launched cruise missiles. A total of 36 missiles were launched from eight Tu-95MS strategic bombers.

Of these, 33 missiles were shot down.

The missiles entered Ukrainian airspace from the southeast and headed west, constantly changing direction.

Air defense was deployed along the route of the missiles: anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups, fighter aircraft of the Air Force, and air defense of other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In addition, according to the Air Force, at about 19:00, the occupiers took MiG-31K fighters into the sky and launched four X-47 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles in the direction of the Khmelnytsky region.

It should also be noted that one of the targets of the Russian fascists was Starokonstantiniv, Khmelnytsky region. This was stated by the spokesman of the Ukrainian Air Force Yuriy Ihnat.

As you know, there is a military airfield in Starokonstantyniv where Ukrainian Su-24M tactical bombers are based. They are carriers of Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

There are no reports on the consequences of the Kinzhal' launches.
