Zelenskyy meets with Chris Christie, who wants to become US president

On Friday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who is running for the nomination for the US presidential election next year.

This was reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Zelensky thanked Christie and American politicians and government officials, including Congress and President Joe Biden, for their support of Ukraine, and noted the importance of further strengthening assistance.

"The United States is a leader, providing us with the greatest support on the battlefield - for our Armed Forces. And, of course, in the financial sector, which is also powerful support," the President noted.

Christie, in turn, said that he wanted to see the situation in Ukraine with his own eyes and share it with the American society, which "is extremely supportive of Ukraine," the Presidential Office quoted him as saying.
