President Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed about this in his Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The visit of the Atlantic Council delegation to Ukraine is another important signal of support for our country from the United States. I thank President Biden and the entire American people for their strong support of Ukraine from the very beginning of Russian aggression. We appreciate the bicameral and bipartisan support of the U.S. Congress," the Head of State said.

He clarified that Ukraine defends democratic values shared by both our states and peoples, and this is a struggle for freedom, for the future of the world.

The Office of the President informed that Zelenskyy had met with a delegation from the Atlantic Council led by the organization's President Frederick Kemp. The delegation included Council members John Rogers, David Petraeus, and John Herbst.

At the request of the Atlantic Council, the President spoke about the main defense needs of Ukraine. He also praised US President Joseph Biden's decision to launch an aviation coalition and start training Ukrainian pilots for modern Western fighter jets.

Zelenskyy spoke about the situation on the front line and gave a forecast of its development in the near future. The Head of State clarified that in recent days, the Russian aggressor has significantly intensified its missile terror and has been conducting massive strikes on Ukrainian cities, primarily on civilian infrastructure and civilians.

The parties also discussed Ukraine's expectations from the NATO Summit in Vilnius. The President noted that it was important for Ukraine to receive a clear signal on the prospects of membership in the Alliance.

"This will be a powerful motivational factor for our army and for the entire Ukrainian people," Zelenskyy said.
