Zelenskyy meets with Vatican representative in Kyiv
Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See, met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on Tuesday, July 23.

During the meeting, Zelensky thanked Cardinal Parolin for his several-day visit to Ukrainian cities, which he called “a strong signal from the Vatican.” He also thanked the Vatican for participating in the Peace Summit in Switzerland.
The two sides discussed Zelensky's meeting with Pope Francis in June on the sidelines of the Group of Seven summit in Italy, the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine, in particular the missile attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, and the “difficult humanitarian situation,” the statement said.
