Blinken will go on a visit to the Middle East and visit Israel

The Secretary of State of the United States of America Anthony Blinken will pay a visit to the Middle East next week. This will be his seventh diplomatic mission to the region since the start of Israel's active military campaign against the Hamas group.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Associated Press.

The press service of the US State Department in a statement on Saturday did not indicate Blinken's intention to visit Israel. However, AP writes that a representative of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs spoke about plans for such a visit.

According to an Israeli official, Blinken will visit Israel on Tuesday, and it is not specified in which city the Secretary of State will stop.

As the State Department said, during this mission to the Middle East, Blinken will visit Saudi Arabia on Monday. The trip comes just two days after he returned to Washington from a visit to China.

Blinken will attend the World Economic Forum conference and meet with Arab foreign ministers in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
