Lubinets criticizes Red Cross for lack of response to Russian crimes

May 8, 2024

The International Federation of the Red Cross takes an "ostrich position" on the issue of the occupiers' crimes, as it does not express a position of support for Ukraine and condemnation of the Russian Federation.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, on the air of a national telethon.

According to him, during today's meeting with the president of the International Federation of the Red Cross, he handed over documents on the crimes of the Russian Red Cross, which violate the principles of neutrality and directly collects aid for the Russian army, and the head of the organization from the Russian Federation cooperates with the so-called head of the Artek camp in Crimea.

"And the direct assistance of the Red Cross of the Russian Federation translates into the fact that Ukrainian children are illegally undergoing the so-called military training and re-education procedure there. That is, the Russian Red Cross is directly involved in the process of illegally changing the identification of Ukrainian children," Lubinets said.

I'm wondering, is there any international institution that does any good and solves anything?
