May 9, 2024

Congressmen from the Republican Party submitted a bill to the House of Representatives, which provides for the sending to the Gaza Strip of persons who violated the law on the territory of the student campus.

The bill was introduced Wednesday, May 8 by Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tennessee, along with Congressmen Randy Weber and Jeff Duncan, in response to anti-Israel demonstrations on college campuses across the country.

Those convicted will have to serve at least six months of community service in the Gaza Strip, where Israel is waging a military campaign to eliminate Hamas and rescue the remaining Israelis the terrorists took hostage in October.

According to bill author Andy Oglas, students left classes to harass other students and disrupt university-wide events, including commencement ceremonies at universities across the country. He believes that this practice should be stopped.

"That's why I introduced legislation that would require anyone convicted of illegal activity on an American university campus beginning October 7, 2023, to be sent to Gaza to serve at least six months of community service," Ogles said.
Congressman Weber added, "If you support a terrorist organization and participate in illegal activities on campuses, you should get a taste of your own medicine. I'm sure these Hamas supporters won't last a day, but let's give them a chance."

However, Fox News suggests the bill is likely to have an uncertain chance in the House of Representatives, where Republicans hold just one seat. And even if it passes, the Democratic-controlled Senate will almost certainly ignore it.
