Due to Russia's propaganda, the US is losing its influence in Africa

The United States is losing its influence and ties with African countries. This can be used by Russia to strengthen its presence on the African continent.

Recently, the United States was forced to start negotiations on the withdrawal of its military from Niger. Last year, a coup d'état took place in this African country - the security of Nigerian President Mohammed Bazoum staged a coup d'état. Their actions were supported by several other African countries.

These events became key and caused the defeat of the US army in the African Sahel region. According to the newspaper, a reduction in the US presence in the region could also lead to a new outbreak of Islamic extremism.

According to Jacques Du Preez, an analyst at the South African research and intelligence company In on Africa, the Sahel is a very important region. In particular, whoever controls it will be able to influence events not only in Africa but even in Europe.

Given recent events, Russia is likely to try to increase its influence there. After all, the Russians already have significant influence in Libya, where a conflict between two rival groups is currently underway. In addition, Russia may agree to establish its military base in the Central African Republic.
