US imposes sanctions on Russia for using chemical weapons in Ukraine

The US State Department has imposed new sanctions on the Russian Federation. This time, restrictions were imposed, in particular, against the use of chemical weapons in Ukraine.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the website of the US State Department.

On May 1, the United States imposed sanctions on more than 280 individuals and legal entities to impose additional costs on Russia for both its external aggression and internal repression.

As part of this action, the State Department is sanctioning more than 80 entities and individuals, including those involved in

• development of Russia's future energy sector;

• metals

• mining and export facilities;

• sanctions evasion and circumvention;

• strengthening Russia's ability to wage war against Ukraine.

The Department also imposed sanctions on three Russian state organizations associated with Russia's chemical and biological weapons programs and four Russian companies that contributed to such organizations.

"The United States will continue to use the tools at its disposal to cut off support for Russia's military-industrial base and to limit Russia's use of the international financial system to further its war against Ukraine," the State Department said in a statement.

Sanctions for the sake of sanctions. They make no sense, as they simply do not work. The West continues to trade with Russia, the West continues diplomatic relations with the terrorist country - so Russian fascists will continue to kill Ukrainians.

Thank you, but that's not what we are waiting for.
