The European Union is going to tighten sanctions against Iran for providing military assistance to the Russian Federation.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Reuters.
“EU countries have agreed to add 10 new individuals and legal entities to the Iranian sanctions list,” the publication writes.
One of the publication's sources said that this step is related to Iran's support for armed proxies in the Middle East and the Red Sea region.
It is also related to the military support that Tehran provides to Moscow.
Reuters recalled that EU leaders had previously agreed to tighten sanctions against Iran after Tehran's missile attack and drone strike on Israel.
