Egypt resumed ceasefire talks in the Gaza Strip and asked for another meeting with Israel.

Egypt believes that Israel has shown great willingness to allow displaced Gazans to return to the north of the enclave. They added that the country has limited security checks and procedures for those not suspected of militant activity.
According to the sources, a meeting between Egyptian and Israeli officials was to occur on Friday in Cairo, and further discussions with Hamas representatives depend on the outcome.
Officials from Egypt, Israel and the United States held face-to-face and remote meetings on Wednesday to seek concessions to break the deadlock in months-long truce talks in the war.
