May 4, 2024

The United States wants to help Ukraine defend itself against a Russian invasion. At the same time, the White House does not allow the transferred weapons to be used to strike Russia.

This was stated by US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink during a roundtable discussion with USAID Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman, RBC-Ukraine reports.

The head of the US diplomatic mission was asked why her country does not allow the use of American weapons to strike Russia, although Washington wants Ukraine to win the war.

In response, the ambassador reminded that President Joe Biden's goal is to help Ukraine defend itself and deter future aggression.

"However, the first part of helping Ukraine defend itself is to supply our and our partners' weapons to support your brave heroes on the frontline of the struggle to restore your territory. Our position from the very beginning has been that we do not allow or facilitate the use of our weapons in Russia, outside the territory of Ukraine," Brink added.

You're just cowards.
