Europe has decided that Putin's election cannot be legitimate

Apr 26, 2024

On April 25, at a meeting in Strasbourg, the European Parliament adopted a resolution "On the undemocratic presidential elections in Russia and their illegitimate extension to the occupied territories." The resolution was supported by 493 deputies, 11 voted against and 18 abstained. This was reported by Ukrinform.

In the document, the deputies conclude that the so-called presidential elections in Russia were illegitimate and undemocratic.

Reportedly, the resolution strongly condemns all electoral violations committed by the Putin regime during the so-called presidential elections in Russia on March 15-17, 2024, as well as previous long-term and systematic repression and violations of civil and political rights;

The document emphasizes that the so-called presidential elections in Russia were held in an atmosphere of fear and repression, as well as in the context of an illegal, unprovoked and unjustified aggressive war against Ukraine.ы

That's a great solution! But how can European countries maintain diplomatic relations with an illegitimate government? Why aren't Russian embassies being closed?

Oh yes, we all remember about money, which is more important than the lives and deaths of Ukrainians.
