NATO names China's condition for good relations with the West
China must stop supporting Russia in its war against Ukraine if it wants to improve relations with Western countries.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's speech at an event in Berlin.
According to the Secretary General, assistance from China is “vital” for Russia to continue its war against Ukraine. Last year, the Russians imported about 90% of microelectronics from China, which are used in the production of missiles, tanks, and airplanes. China also wants to provide Russia with new satellite capabilities.
"China says it wants good relations with the West. At the same time, Beijing continues to fuel the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II. They cannot do both," Stoltenberg emphasized.
At the same time, the Secretary General urged the allies not to depend on China, as they used to do with Russian gas and oil.
It seems like the US and NATO need it more than China does. The whole world depends on Chinese electronics, so there have been no serious sanctions so far. And there won't be.
