Romania discusses further assistance to Ukraine with Pentagon chief

Pentagon Secretary Lloyd Austin had a phone conversation with Romanian National Defense Minister Angel Tilvar to discuss Russia's invasion of Ukraine and further coordination of security assistance to Ukraine.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Pentagon press service.
It is noted that the ministers reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the Ukrainian people and condemned Russia's illegal war. Austin also recognized Romania's position as an anchor of stability on NATO's eastern flank and thanked Bucharest for continuing to host US and allied forces.
"Both Austin and Tilvar look forward to continuing to coordinate defense assistance to Ukraine through the Ukraine Defense Contact Group and future bilateral meetings," the Pentagon said in a statement.
