The Secretary-General called the flight “a great experience”, emphasizing the importance of Laage Air Base for NATO “because it trains the best pilots in the world and supports various air policing missions, which is important in a more complex security environment”.

During a press conference with German Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Ingo Gerhartz, Stoltenberg also thanked Germany for its crucial role in supporting Ukraine as the largest military donor in Europe.
