Tusk suspends participation in public events due to illness

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has suspended participation in public events since April 25 due to diagnosed pneumonia.

This was reported by the press service of the Polish government.

According to the Polish Center for Government Information, “In the coming days” Donald Tusk “will limit public activity”.

“This is due to pneumonia, which has been diagnosed and requires treatment. Upon completion of treatment, Donald Tusk will return to his duties,” the statement said.

Tusk himself also commented on his diagnosis and promised to return to work immediately “after a short (hopefully) illness-related break”.

Among other things, the Polish prime minister plans to take part in the European Economic Congress on May 7 and resume a government meeting on May 10.
