The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, had a telephone conversation with the American leader, Joe Biden, regarding the allocation of aid to Ukraine. Among other things, it was about the content of the future defense package. The head of state announced this today on social networks.

Biden assured that if the bill is approved by the US Senate, he will immediately sign the law.

"I am grateful to Joe Biden for his unwavering support of Ukraine and for true global leadership. I also noted bipartisan support for the bill and the personal role of Speaker Mike Johnson and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries," Zelenskyy said.

Leaders discussed the first defense aid package since the law was passed.

"I have the president's assurance that it will be fast and powerful and will strengthen our anti-aircraft, long-range, and artillery capabilities," Zelenskyy noted, adding that the decision of the US House of Representatives to confiscate Russian assets sends a “powerful signal” to all of Ukraine's partners.

The president told Biden about the Russian air attacks, in particular, about the strike on the Kharkiv TV tower, which happened "literally a few minutes before the conversation." "This is Russia's clear intention to make the city uninhabitable," Zelenskyy said.

During the conversation, the signing of a bilateral security agreement and preparations for the upcoming Peace Summit were also discussed.

The decision to help Ukraine has been made. How much longer will Biden decide?
