As part of a new package of military aid, the British government will supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with high-precision Paveway IV aerial bombs for the first time. This is reported by The Telegraph, "Word and Deed" writes.
Paveway IVs are known to be 500-pound aerial bombs that use a high-explosive warhead and laser targeting system. For the first time, these munitions were used by the British Air Force in Afghanistan.
Bombs can be installed both on American-made F-16 fighter jets, which are due to arrive in Ukraine this year, and on old Soviet-era aircraft.
The exact number of aerial bombs planned to be transferred has not yet been disclosed.
