Kuleba: Ukraine is not preparing for Trump's possible return

Apr 24, 2024

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba claims that Ukraine is not making any special preparations in case Donald Trump wins the 2024 US presidential election.

He said this in an interview with The Guardian.

According to the foreign minister, before voting to help Ukraine, Trump was under pressure from skeptics in his own Republican Party but ultimately decided to keep silent.

I don't know what will happen tomorrow or how the political elites in the United States will behave. What we have learned from Donald Trump's first term as president is that there is always a way out of any crisis,” he commented.

Kuleba emphasized: that Ukraine has faced so many challenges since the beginning of the war with Russia in 2014 that “without exaggeration, we are ready for anything.”

The minister himself noted that his experience with the Trump administration was minimal, but recalled Volodymyr Zelenskyy's invitation to the former US president to come to Kyiv.
