This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania.

Another batch of military support prepared by the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense has arrived in Ukraine.

Today, the disassembled L-39ZA "Albatross" light attack aircraft was delivered and handed over to Ukraine.

L-39ZA "Albatross" aircraft were used in the Lithuanian army to train fighter control officers and to provide combat training for pilots in difficult meteorological conditions during the day and at night.

Aero L-39 "Albatross" is a training and combat training aircraft of the Czechoslovak aircraft construction company Aero Vodochody with a Soviet engine.

The L-39ZA modification, which was transferred to Ukraine, is a further development of the L-39ZO with an installed GSH-23 twin-barreled gun.

Note that the L-39ZO model is a modification of a training aircraft that can be used as a light attack aircraft. For this purpose, it is equipped with four suspension nodes.

Are you sure that Ukraine needs a 50-year-old training aircraft, unsuitable for combat work? We have enough Soviet aircraft. Ukrainian pilots are currently the most experienced in the world.

Thanks for the help, but this again looks like cheap trash disposal...
