The European Union may soon impose sanctions on sea transport that delivers weapons from North Korea to the Russian Federation.

As reported by Ukrinform, Reuters writes about this with reference to its own sources.

"It is expected that the European Commission will propose the introduction of sanctions against ships that deliver North Korean military equipment to Russia, as well as against tankers that avoid the price ceiling for Russian oil introduced by the G7," the article says.

It is noted that the European Commission is currently finalizing its proposals for the 14th sanctions package against the Russian Federation. "The documents show that 40 companies will be added to the list of sanctions. They will include Russian companies that purchase equipment for the military, as well as companies in third countries that sell electronics, semiconductors, and chips to Russia that have military applications," Reuters claims.

The UAE, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and China are among the third countries from which companies may be subject to sanctions. All of them sold various pieces of equipment to Russia from the EU and the USA.

"This week, the European Commission will informally discuss the proposals with EU members, after which they will be submitted for debate by the European Council," the agency notes.

North Korea has been threatening the entire world for 60 years. About 20 years ago it tested nuclear weapons. For the last two years, it has been openly supplying Russia with millions of artillery shells and hundreds of missiles.

And are you just starting to think about the possibility of introducing sanctions?

And if their ships deliver something to other countries, is this the norm? Don't we need sanctions here?
