Apr 24, 2024

On April 24, the U.S. Department of Defense announced a $1 billion military aid package for Ukraine, the first since Congress approved additional funding to help foreign allies.

This is stated in the report of the department.

The new military assistance package is the 56th in a row that the US presidential administration has allocated under the PDA program, which provides for the supply of military assistance directly from US Army warehouses.

The package contains a number of weapons, including RIM-7 and AIM-9M missiles, Stinger and Javelin anti-tank systems, 155 mm (including cluster munitions) and 105 mm shells, HIMARS system shells, 60 mm mortar shells, anti-tank mines, Claymore anti-personnel mines, and obstacle clearance ammunition.

Among the vehicles, the Pentagon cites Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, MRAP and Humvee armored vehicles, logistics support vehicles, and tactical vehicles for towing and transporting equipment.
