This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to BFM TV.

"France will not provide fighter jets to Ukraine at the moment, but it is already participating in the training of ten Ukrainian pilots selected by its general staff. They are between 20 and 22 years old. Six of them are still undergoing training in the United Kingdom to acquire the necessary level of English. ", - says BFM.

It is noted that four other pilots have already received language training and have little experience of flying civilian or training aircraft. Currently, they are at an air base in the southwest of France, where they are training in air combat on the F-16.

"New Ukrainian aviators will be trained in the same way as French air force and naval aviation pilots, but twice as fast. Classes will be held on simulators. Before training on the F-16, pilots must fly 80 hours on the Alpha Jet," BFM added. TV.

After this training period of about six months, the pilots will transfer to the F-16 in the United States or one of the European countries. Technical teams, including mechanics, are more likely to be trained in the US.

Is it really possible that a 40-year-old aircraft, which most developed countries have replaced with a new one, is so complex that pilots have been trained for about a year?
