This was stated by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Reuters.

The Prime Minister will announce this decision during his visit to Poland on Tuesday, April 23.

He also warned that Russia must be defeated to prevent its troops from moving further into Europe.

"Defending Ukraine from Russia's brutal ambitions is vital to our security and to the whole of Europe. If Putin is allowed to succeed in this war of aggression, he will not stop at the Polish border," Sunak said in a statement.
"Ukraine's armed forces continue to fight bravely, but they need our support - and they need it now. Today's package will help ensure that Ukraine has everything it needs to fight Russia," he said before the visit.

Sunak's visit to Poland is his first international trip in recent months. During the visit, he will meet with Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

London will also send what it called the largest single package of equipment in history, including 60 boats, more than 1,600 attack and air defense missiles, and nearly 4 million rounds of small arms ammunition.

Britain has long been a strong supporter of Ukraine, and the additional funding will bring London's total military aid for this fiscal year to £3 billion.
