Deliveries of US weapons and ammunition to Ukraine have already begun
The United States has already begun supplying some weapons and ammunition to Ukraine as part of a new aid package.
This is reported with reference to Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder during a briefing.
The spokesman emphasized to reporters that he could not disclose details about the timing of the delivery of military aid to Ukraine. But, according to him, deliveries have already begun.
"We've already started the process to move some of the weapons, ammunition and equipment which will be, you know, as I mentioned earlier there within days, if not sooner," Ryder said.
At the same time, the Pentagon spokesman added that some equipment would take longer to arrive. However, as for artillery ammunition, the United States is "already moving to make those deliveries".
As a reminder, after months of blocking aid, the US Congress has passed a law that provides more than $60 billion in aid to Ukraine. US President Joe Biden signed the bill into law.
