The United States has stopped supplying ammunition to Israel
The United States of America has suspended the supply of ammunition to the Israeli army. This happened for the first time since last October when Hamas militants attacked the territory of Israel.

Two Israeli officials told Axios that the US presidential administration halted the supply of US ammunition to Israel as recently as last week.
In the Israeli government, as noted by Axios, such a decision by Washington caused serious concern. According to Axios interlocutors, Israeli officials are trying to find out why the delivery of military cargo is delayed.
The White House, the Pentagon, the US State Department, and the office of the Israeli prime minister declined to respond to questions from Axios about the supply of US ammunition to Israel.
As Axios added, US President Joe Biden has faced sharp criticism among Americans who do not support Israel and criticize it for strikes on civilian targets in the Gaza Strip.
In February, the US asked Israel to provide guarantees that US weapons would be used by the Israeli army only following international law. In March, Israel sent the US a corresponding letter with guarantees.
In addition, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken was visiting Israel last Wednesday and allegedly had a “tough” conversation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding Israeli plans to launch a military operation in the last major city in the Gaza Strip, according to Axios sources. Blinken warned that the US would publicly oppose a "major military operation" and that its implementation could negatively affect relations between Washington and Tel Aviv.
