Poland has obligations to NATO as a member of the Alliance and is ready to deploy nuclear weapons on its territory.

This is reported with reference to Polish President Andrzej Duda in an interview with the Polish media outlet Fakt.

According to Duda, the issue of nuclear weapons deployment has been the subject of Polish-American negotiations for some time. In particular, he "does not hide" the fact that during the talks he declared Poland's readiness to take the appropriate step.

He recalled that Russia, on the one hand, is increasingly militarizing the Königsberg area, and on the other hand, moved its nuclear weapons to Belarus.

"If our allies decide to deploy nuclear weapons within the framework of the joint use of nuclear weapons on our territory to strengthen the security of NATO's eastern flank, we are ready for it. We are an ally of the North Atlantic Alliance and we have obligations in this area, so we are simply pursuing a common policy," the president said.

In 2023, the heads of the Ministries of Defense of Belarus and the Russian Federation agreed to transport Russian tactical nuclear weapons to Belarusian territory. At the same time, the terrorist country declared that control over the weapons remains with it.
