The publication notes that companies based in Russia, as well as in Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, imported European goods worth millions of euros.

Subsequently, they were used by the Russian military, despite trade restrictions imposed by the EU. The EU is also considering imposing sanctions on a small number of Chinese and Hong Kong companies that may have provided satellite imagery and other technologies to Russia.

"Imports included technology linked to navigation systems for missiles, EU-made antennas, as well as components used in military computer hardware, according to the document," Bloomberg writes.

The Russians have been using technologies related to missile navigation systems, European-made antennas, and components used in military computers to circumvent the sanctions.
