This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to DW.

The family concern said that "the Knauf group has decided to part with its business after more than 30 years in Russia."

The company said in a statement that it has decided to transfer the entire business, including raw material extraction, production and sales, to local management in order to save the jobs of more than 4,000 employees. The Russian authorities have yet to approve this decision.

Knauf did not give any specific reasons for the closure of its business in Russia. Earlier, however, Tagesschau reported that a Knauf subsidiary was supplying a project in Russian-occupied Mariupol with building materials ordered by the Russian military.
