Reuters: US prepares $1 billion military aid package for Ukraine
The new US military aid package for Ukraine, which will be sent immediately after the approval of the $61 billion support, will cost $1 billion.
Reuters has learned this from two American officials.
In recent months, the United States has virtually halted the transfer of military aid to Ukraine due to the blocking of this step in Congress. Now, after the expected approval of the $61 billion project in the Senate and President Biden's signature, the law will allow for the first military aid package to be allocated to Kyiv in a long time.
According to Reuters, the package will include vehicles, Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems, additional ammunition for HIMARS systems, 155-mm artillery shells, and TOW and Javelin anti-tank munitions.
