Stoltenberg named three reasons why the US is interested in NATO

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that he expects the United States to cooperate with the Alliance regardless of the results of the presidential election in the country at the end of 2024.

He said this on April 23 during a press conference in Poland with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Yevropeiska Pravda reports.

Stoltenberg emphasized that "a strong NATO is good for both Europe and the United States." "And I expect that regardless of the outcome of the US elections at the end of the year, the United States will remain a reliable and loyal ally for at least three reasons," he added.

The first reason, according to the Secretary-General, is that "having NATO and having more than 30 allies is in the interest of U.S. national security" and makes the United States stronger and safer.

"Secondly, NATO enjoys broad bipartisan support in the United States - in Congress and among the public, as evidenced by the results of polls," Stoltenberg added.
