The aid package to Ukraine strengthens America's security

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin welcomed the passage of a package of foreign aid bills by the House of Representatives on Saturday, stressing that it will ultimately contribute to America's own security and strengthen US leadership.
This is stated in his statement distributed by the Pentagon, reports Ukrinform.
"I welcome the passage of important additional funding for national security needs that will help the Department of Defense support Ukraine and Israel, strengthen security in the Indo-Pacific region, and preserve the strength of our allies and partners around the world," Austin said.
He noted that the legislative initiative is also a significant investment in America's future, as it provides about $50 billion for the US defense industrial base in more than 30 states.
“This law will make America safer and save lives. We saw once again that the troubles of our time only worsen without the strong and stable leadership of the United States," Austin stressed.-
The head of the Pentagon also emphasized that the world continues to watch, and the lives of people are at stake, as well as the national security of the United States in the long term.
"We must never give our friends, our rivals, or our enemies any reason to doubt America's resolve," the Pentagon chief said.-
