104 Russian torture chambers discovered in the liberated territories
More than a hundred torture chambers have been discovered on the territories of Ukraine liberated from Russian occupiers since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.
The statement was made by Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin.
Speaking at the international human rights forum "Freedom or Fear", Kostin said that 104 places where Russians conducted torture were discovered in the liberated territories.
Most of the torture chambers were found in the Kharkiv (25), Zaporizhzhia (18), Kherson (11) and Donetsk (10) regions.
In addition, at least 19 more torture chambers are operating on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Kostin said that almost 90% of Ukrainians in Russian captivity were subjected to torture or other forms of violence by the Russian occupiers.
The Prosecutor General believes that violence in Russia is a planned state policy of the country.
