Sibiga reveals details of his visit to Damascus

During a visit to Damascus, Syria, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga held talks with the leadership of the Syrian administration, the country's leader Ahmad al-Sharaa, and others.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Sibiga's statement following the talks in Syria.

According to Sibiga, during the visit, he held talks with:

  • the leadership of the Syrian administration;
  • Syrian leader Ahmad al-Sharaa;
  • Prime Minister Mohamed al-Bashir;
  • Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Sheibani.

The minister added that Ukraine is ready to help the Syrian people, as it is interested in cooperation between the two countries.

“We promised to support food security and we are fulfilling our promise in a short time. Tomorrow, more than two dozen trucks will arrive in Syria to deliver 500 tons of Ukrainian flour as part of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program,” the minister said, adding that Kyiv is ready to deliver many times more.
