On the border with Estonia, the Russians are trying to show that the Baltic states are in their sights and could be next. They began to organize large-scale provocations.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to The Telegraph.
In particular, a blimp was recently spotted on the Russian-Estonian border, which Estonia did not initially respond to. However, the next day, the Russians escalated and painted their semi-swastika, the letter Z, on the blimp. It is a kind of symbol of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
According to Egert Belichev, Director General of the Estonian Police, Russians organize small provocations of this kind almost every week.
“This was deliberately made visible to everyone to say: 'We are watching you,'” Belichev said.
According to Estonian border guards, tension on the border with Russia has increased dramatically in recent months. This is due to the fact that Russians have begun to resort more often to protests against the West, attempts to smuggle weapons parts, and jamming GPS signals. Russia has been sending waves of migrants from Asia across the border and ominous pranks with aircraft like the one mentioned above.
“Two years ago, we had 18 border incidents, and this year we had 96. We see constant attempts to destabilize the situation,” Belichev said.-
