Estonian President Alar Karis believes that his country will be able to avoid war.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to ERR.
The Estonian president was asked about the fear of young people about a possible war and the need to leave the country.
“I think the answer is that you don't have to go anywhere, because there will be no war. I am sure that our will to defend ourselves is quite high. Studies show this. But we do not want to test it in practice,” Karis said.
According to him, Estonia would not want to test Article 5 of the NATO treaty or check whether people would run away or take up arms and defend themselves.
“We don't want that, so we have to do everything we can to prevent anyone from coming here and to prevent even the thought of it,” he said.-
