The European Union will provide Ukraine with 1.5 billion euros of aid per month. The money is provided as part of budgetary assistance.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a press conference by EU diplomat Kaja Kallas.
Following the meeting of EU foreign ministers, she said that Europe should support Ukraine. In particular, by the end of winter, European states will train 75,000 Ukrainian soldiers.
“This month, the European Union has allocated 4.2 billion to Ukraine to support its budget. Starting from January, we will allocate 1.5 billion a month,” added Kallas.
She clarified that additional assistance is also needed. In particular, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said at the meeting of foreign ministers that Ukraine needs more ammunition, stronger air defense and more support for the defense industry.
